1:30 Thuringia Incident = In February the FDP's Thomas Kemmerich was elected minister-president (effectively the prime minsiter) of the state of Thuringia. Without the AfD's votes he would not have been elected. 1:44 constitutional state = in German literally "law state". a state where everybody, including the government, has to act within the law.

2:02 kurzarbeit = "short work", a specific legal process in Germany that allows employers to temporarily put employees on redcued hours and pay.

2:39 solidarity-patriotism = this is the term Höcke uses for the ideology of the AfD in the east: left wing on social issues like pensions, healthcare etc, right wing on identity issues. German uses the adjectival form of solidarity (solidarisch) which doesn't have an equivalent in English. Solidarity has the same root as "solid" and means you see yourself as part of a whole (a solid, a community etc) and are prepared to help others in that whole, when they are in need.The AfD in the west is generally more right wing on economic issues like pensions, welfare etc, and less right wing on identity, compared to the AfD in the east. AfD west = national liberal / national conservative. AfD east = solidarity patriotism.

3:14 lack of accountability = I think Höcke misspeaks here, he actually says "leads to accountability". I think he meant to say "un"verantwortlichkeit (unaccountability) not verantwortlichkeit (accountability), otherise the sentence doesn't make sense.

4:20 freedom-impulse = He uses an unusual term here, he literally says freedom-energies or freedom-powers (freiheitskräfte). I think those phrases sound too odd in English so went with impulse.
