Decided to see what happens when you don't figure out who's the mysterious Nightamare. You get some alternate dialogue and ironically a slightly more positive ending, albeit inconclusive. At least Otsuu acts canonically dumb in those exchanges. It also turns out that you can't really face the last Nightmare and it's only possible to run from it while the Blood Maidens die a heroic death bar Otsuu and Little Mermaid - even in this messed up timeline the original cast are still much better characters than the newcomers.
