Shins of the Father.

We've seen him in dream sequences before, but this is the episode that properly introduces us to Cotton Hill, Hank's unapologetically old-school dad. He may seem like a loudmouthed old runt. But that's just because the Japs shot his shins off while he was defending Texas in WWII. He got his feet sewn back on, just below the knees, reducing his height from the original 6'4".

Cotton has killed at least fifty men, and has absolutely no concern about offending anyone. This attitude starts to rub-off on Bobby. But you can't quite get away with it when you're twelve.

Dale tries to mess with Cotton, telling him that Khan is Japanese. The old man instantly recognizes Hank's new neighbor as Laotian. But, being Cotton, assumes Khan is the Hill's house-boy.
