The Father qualified us to partake in the inheritance of the saints in the Light, which is Christ. By His past action, our status has been changed from earthly citizenship to heavenly citizenship and co-heirs with Christ. This is something for which we should be excited and thankful!

2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
