In this video, we went over considerations for wrist straps. We talked about how the grip strength sends a feedback mechanism to the body, letting the other muscles become aware of how heavy the object being lifted is. When we grip an object, it tells our whole how heavy something is. If we use wrist straps, we are sending a false signal through our nervous about what we are lifting, which could lead having no recruitment of other stabilizing muscles to match the demand of the grip via the brachial plexus.
