Riots as African migrants try to enter Spanish Enclave of Melilla

Over the past 18 hours, reports from Spanish, Catalan and Moroccan media reported that a wave of at least 2,000 illegal immigrants from the Sahel — the West African region infested by separatist, jihadist and mercenary groups — tried to invade the borders of the Crusader-era North African Spanish Enclave of Melilla, engaging in hand-to-hand combat with both the Moroccan and Spanish border guards, depending on the region of the border

The migrants tried to jump over the border fence, while chant “Bossa” while the newcomers gain access to the CETI, the Border post for Legal Migrants and travelers, located in the no-mans-zone between Spain and Morocco

According to updated reports, at least 45 Sub-Saharans and 4 Moroccan Royal Border Guards were killed, and another 76 were injured after one of the badly repaired regions of the border fence fell in an avalanche, killing and injuring the one up there, as seen on videos showing the injured migrants
