New Holocaust film Resistance stars Jewish actor Jessie Eisenberg as "Bip the Clown" fighting Nazis.

February 7, 2020: Based on the life of Jewish clown and mime Marcel Marceau (Bip the Clown), Resistance is the story of a group of Jewish Boy Scouts who worked with the French Resistance to save the lives of ten thousand Jewish orphans during WWII. Director Jonathan Jakubowicz and lead actor Jessie Eisenberg are Jewish. Snopes and documentary filmmaker Phillipe Mora allege Marceau avoided detection by entertaining the children with silent pantomime. Mora, whose father fought alongside Marceau in the French resistance, said, "Marceau started miming to keep children quiet as they were escaping. It had nothing to do with show business. He was miming for his life." In his later life, Marceau was friends with Michael Jackson for nearly 20 years. Jackson based some of dance moves on Marceau.
