Built by the Warwick Iron & Steel Company in 1900, later called Eastern Steel Co. in Pottstown. This bridge was used to transport byproduct (slag) from their furnaces by rail and take it across the Schuylkill river and dump it on their property in North Coventry Township. In 1907 after the construction of Warwick Village in the same area, which was housing for employees of the company, the employees then used this bridge to get to work at the furnace from the village.
