Flash flooding continues to be a problem in Missouri as the area near St. Louis received historic rains.
More than 8.5 inches of rain has fallen in eight hours beating an all-time record rainfall which was set in 195.
Most of the area received anywhere from five to 11 inches of rain overnight. And some areas have seen more than a foot of rain.
The flash flooding has prompted several water rescues after cars became stranded in high water.
