About a Decade ago the KPOP landscape was RULED by 'Girls Generation'. A nine girl super group that started out w/ simple Bop Pop songs & later evolved into a mature women's sound. They were quite big in Korean & even Japan for their time. THIS is my fav song by them called "OH!". It's a Rare Fancam version of them actually performing on a football field (cause KPOP lives are like that?).

Why do I only mention Jessica Jung (wearing #22)? because around 2014? a few of the other members got annoyed that Jessica had side gigs, clothing line, Broadway musicals, Modeling gigs and they thought she was a drag on the group. So they hatched a plan & kicked her out (it split the fandom). Girls Gen continued for a few years WITHOUT Jessica but it was NEVER the same. By late 2015 TWICE debuted w/ JYP Entertainment (also a 9 Girl group) and now TWICE is Korea's National Girl Group.

Jessica still has a clothing line, Successful SOLO Career, YouTube channel, & models...I have NO Idea what the "Other" girls are up to I never bothered to learn their names. I was always a Jessica Fan and she is full Korean but partially raised in the USA so even speaks perfect English. When I see "Girls Generation" news on Twitter I always mention Jessica (a FOUNDING Member!) just to piss-off her haters.
