The reserved John Adams, now being the target of the increased intimidation of the British army, is realizing the escalation of abuse is affecting everyone. After an enormous tax is announced on all incoming tea to help fund England's wars, the colonists decided to prevent any tea from coming ashore to avoid paying tax which results in the Boston Tea Party.
Meanwhile, as the British army begins an overnight march toward Concord, Paul Revere slips out of Boston to warn Sam Adams and John Hancock, who were in Lexington, of the danger.
