We can use the strategy "Draw a Diagram" to solve one-step and two-step word problems. We can draw bar models. We go over the steps that we need to use to solve word problems. 1. Read the problem 2. Determine what we need to find. 3. Determine what information we need to use. 4. Determine how we will use the information. 5. Check our work. We solve three examples of word problems using bar models for equal groups.
