Scott Minerd - Managing Partner, Global CIO, Chairman of Guggenheim Investments

Scott Minerd is Founding Managing Partner, Global Chief Investment Officer & Chairman of Guggenheim Partners and a member of its Executive Committee. In his role as Chairman and Global CIO, he guides the firm’s investment strategies and leads research on global macroeconomics.

Scott is a highly regarded and trusted voice in the financial world. His expertise is sought after in a range of financial matters, notably during times of significant financial developments affecting both micro and macroeconomic issues. He is a regular guest and contributor to leading financial media outlets, including WSJ, FT, Bloomberg and CNBC where he shares insights on today’s financial climate.

Before founding Guggenheim, Scott was a Managing Director with Credit Suisse First Boston. In this role, he oversaw trading and risk management for the Fixed Income Credit Trading Group and was responsible for trading business units, including corporate bonds, sovereign debt and derivatives securities. Scott is on the Board of RFK Human Rights and was appointed to the IMF Global Pandemic Policy Panel. He is also a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of NY’s Investor Advisory Committee on Financial Markets, advising the NY Fed President about financial market developments, risks facing the financial system, and actions to help mitigate these risks.

He holds a BS in Economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and has completed graduate work at his alma mater and the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
