1. -Window seat/left side/behind the wing POV, of taxi and takeoff from Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR). Formerly: Bob Hope Airport, Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport. Labor Day weekend.
-Climb-out towards the south (north of the Hollywood Hills), right turn to the west, another right turn to the north, another right turn to the northeast. Ascending above the San Fernando Valley towards the desert. Clear and sunny day, yet very smoggy and hazy air quality.
-Awesome views of: Verdugo Mountain, Downtown Burbank, Interstate 5 freeway, Highway 134, Hollywood Hills, Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, Studio City (Warner Bros, Disney, Universal Studios theme park), 101 Freeway, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica & Pacific Ocean in distance, Mulholland Drive, Woodland Hills, Tarzana, Reseda, Interstate 405 freeway, Van Nuys Airport, Northridge, Highway 118, Six Flags Magic Mountain (Santa Clarita/Valencia), Highway 14, Angeles National Forest, Palmdale, Lancaster, the desert, Victorville, Interstate 15 freeway, Calico, Barstow, Interstate 40 freeway (old Route 66), Interstate 10 freeway, Blythe, CA & AZ state line and Colorado River, Quartzsite, White Tank Mountain, Buckeye/Goodyear.
-Quick acceleration and liftoff due to the short runway. Flaps up.
-Flight attendant announcements after surpassing altitude of 10,000 feet.
2. -Window seat/left side/behind the wing POV, of final approach into/landing at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). Labor Day Weekend.
-Scattered clouds, turbulence, bumpy approach & landing.
-Awesome views of: Luke Air Force Base, Sun City/Peoria/Glendale, South Mountain, Interstate 10 freeway, Sky Harbor overview, Chandler, Dobson Ranch, 60 Freeway, Mesa, Mesa High School, Tempe, 101 loop freeway, ASU campus, Camelback Mountain, Papago Park, Loop 202 freeway, Downtown Phoenix, Gilbert, Salt River.
-Flight attendant "Welcome" announcements and taxi to the gate. One of the female f-a's sings a song for us: "Marry one of us and you'll fly free."
-Returning home: I flew Southwest Airlines (Boeing 737-700) late afternoon/evening flight from Burbank, California to Phoenix, Arizona. Hollywood Burbank Airport (Bob Hope Airport/Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport) to PHX Sky Harbor. BUR to PHX. BUR-PHX. East Valley! Maricopa!
-Part 2 (return home) of my 2nd short/solo trip back to southern California. I had officially lived in Mesa, AZ for a several months by then. Moved from Lake Elsinore/Corona (Riverside County), CA. Stagecoach Express shuttle van ride back home.

-Visited Universal Studios Hollywood once again, my 'Back to the Future' filming locations tour, drove through Hollywood, drove in Tarzana past my film school (Columbia College Hollywood/CCH) and apartment (during late 2010-late 2013). Stayed at the Ramada Motel close by the airport. Just a week before my Orlando, Florida trip.
