The Mel-O-Tones were a barbershop quartet from Regina, Saskatchewan. Founded in 1964 by Gord Gardiner, Fred Rodgers, Mel Friesen and Tom Magnuson the quartet would go on to perform throughout Canada and the US during their active years of 1978 to 1983. They performed at Expo '86 and also recorded the iconic "Green is the Color" theme for the Saskatchewan Roughriders football team.
