In this short video I try to do a better prep of cesium uranate by reacting uranium trioxide with a molten mixture of cesium chloride and cesium nitrate. Just as with potassium uranate I found that this gave a much purer product although sadly it did not look dramatically different from the sample of potassium uranate that I made. Still, I can happily add this sample of cesium uranate to my collection of unusual compounds that you are extremely unlike to ever see unless you make them yourself.
