"The Art of War" by Machiavelli discussed. A few weeks ago I performed a complete reading of Sun Tzu's "The Art of War" and that inspired me to turn to Machiavelli's little-known work of the same name.

This episode offers a sort of primer or short overview of Machiavelli's position that he sets out in both "The Prince" and "The Art of War". I end the episode with a quick review of the 27 general rules of war that can be found in chapter 7 of Machiavelli's Art of War drawn from a short review article at War on the Rocks.
