The Empty Tomb ( Chick Tracts )
The Empty Tomb of The Son of God Christ Jesus
We must have a mind change , so a change of mind which leads to a change of heart ) This then is Biblical Repentance , we must be willing to turn from sin , and turn to God to Save us through His Son Christ Jesus ( The God Man who came to Earth )
~~
to change one's mind, i.e. to repent
to change one's mind for better, heartily to amend with abhorrence of one's past sins
Biblical repentance is NOT promising to "turn over a new leaf," sinning less, turning from sins, stopping sinning, repenting of all past sins or following the law & the commandments.
Biblical repentance is merely recognizing and acknowledging you are a sinner in need of a savior and that you can't do anything to save yourself.
The word "repent," as it is used in the Bible in the context of salvation, is the Greek word, "Metanoia" which means to "change one's mind."
Meta = change
Noia = mind
Whenever the word "repent" (Metanoia) is used either by Jesus, the apostles or any of the disciples, it always means to change one's mind from trusting in one's own dead works/worship of idols/following the law to save themselves to trusting ONLY in The Messiah, Jesus Christ to save them.
The only inhabitants of heaven will be those who only trusted (believed) in the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ ALONE for the remission of all of their sins and eternal life.
Those trusting in Jesus PLUS any of their own works sadly will hear the terrifying words of Jesus, "Depart from me you workers of iniquity for I never knew you." (Matthew 7:21)
These are not born again believers to whom Jesus is speaking who lost their salvation because they didn't do enough works or sinned one too many times.
These will be people who thought they were Christians because all of the works they did in the name of Jesus but who He never knew because they were never saved.
And they were never saved because they never trusted in Jesus and His Blood alone for their salvation.
If this is you, and you have never trusted in the finished redemptive work of the eternally existing Son of God, God the Son, Jesus Christ for the remission of all your sins (past, present and future) & eternal life I pray TODAY (as in right now) would be the day of salvation for you:-)
God loves you and His greatest desire is that you believe on the name of His Son, Jesus Christ who died for all your sins, was buried and rose again on the 3rd day.
Forgiveness of all your sins & eternal life in Heaven is only one heartfelt prayer away:-)
Just tell Him you are a sinner in need of a savior and that you believe He died for all your sins, was buried and resurrected on the 3rd day!
"For all who call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)
If you just did this, congratulations!!!!!
You just received the greatest and most important gift any person could ever receive!!!!
The free gift of ETERNAL life & salvation!!!!
And Jesus promises you that you are saved forever and will never perish!!!!

"Repentance (metanoia, 'change of mind') involves a turning with contrition from sin to God; the repentant sinner is in the proper condition to accept the divine forgiveness." (F. F. Bruce. The Acts of the Apostles [Greek Text Commentary], London: Tyndale, 1952, p. 97.)
We are saved the moment that change of heart , towards Jesus Christ occurs, and that happens the very moment we BELIEVE on Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Saviour unto Everlasting Life in The Kingdom of God.
