The level of entitlement mentality expressed in our culture today is out of control. This is especially evident when people try to manipulate others into giving them something they want on the basis of some moral obligation. The simple fact of the matter is that no one owes you anything.

But while this may seem like a hard, unpleasant truth, the reality is that it is incredibly freeing. You are in control of your own destiny. For just as no one owes you anything, you don't owe anyone anything either.
