Decided to trade in PHP for Java on the web backend, but starting from scratch with Java. Finding it's horribly verbose. However, since I planned on learning it for Android app development anyway, maybe still worth the time investment. Always willing to hear what other web devs experienced with server-side have to say about it when we do have Go, nodeJS, Python/Django, and a conglomeration of others as well.
