This message was preached by Pastor Chuck Baldwin on Sunday, April 12, 2020, during the service at Liberty Fellowship.
This is Pastor Baldwin's Resurrection Day message to Liberty Fellowship. It is taken from John 19 & 20.
He focuses first on the two men who cared for the dead body of Jesus, Joseph of Arimathaea and Nicodemus, who were two of the richest men in Jerusalem. Joseph was a member of the Sanhedrin and Nicodemus was a Pharisee—the same one who came to Jesus by night in John 3.
Second, Pastor Baldwin tells the story of the first three disciples to discover the empty tomb: Mary Magdalene, Peter and John.
Then he focuses on Mary's encounter with the two angels at the empty tomb (and provides a brief discussion regarding the role angels play in the lives of Christians) and then the risen Christ's appearance to her. Mary Magdalene: the first person to see the resurrected Christ!
What a precious, wonderful story!
