On March 23, 1983, thirty-nine years ago, Ronald Reagan announced his decision to adopt Lyndon LaRouche's security concept, which became known as the Strategic Defense Initiative, to move away from the dangerous Kissingerian concept of Mutual and Assured Destruction. Both Reagan and LaRouche were vilified for this, and unfortunately, it was rejected by the Soviets.
