Activists are trying to free singer Britney Spears from her conservatorship. Reporters interviewed protesters outside of her hearing in the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles on Sept 18, 2019. Give her control over her money, travel, and assets. She's an equal person and let her have independence.
At the end, there's a video of Britney Spears posting about an "Astrology for the Soul" book on Instagram and saying she "loves freedom, independence, autonomy, and to travel, yet... she's insecure."
A conservatorship of 11 years has prevented her from having control over her personal and financial choices. She has repeatedly tried to overturn the conservatorship.
The #FreeBritney movement started when Britney's Gram, a podcast, received a voicemail from a paralegal stating that Britney was held against her will in a mental facility, despite outside reports, for wanting to no longer take medications or psych drugs. She had to cancel her Dominion show in Las Vegas, which tipped off fans. Britney has previously described her life as "Groundhog Day" or "Prisoner-like."
