Gaza Between Fire and Sea

Ahmed Abu Artema, a Palestinian poet and journalist, helped initiate the "Great March of Return," in which thousands of Palestinians in Gaza are trying to use a massive Gandhian nonviolent protest against their imprisonment by Israel and Israel's theft of their land. Israel has massed Israeli sharpshooters and soldiers who have killed numerous unarmed men, women, and children and injured approximately 20,000 since the weekly demonstrations began March 30th. In this film, Artema shows us the march from the inside as he speaks with diverse participants, including hospitalized marchers, families of those who've been killed, young men debating how to fight Israeli oppression, and others.
