Fukushima truth nuclear testimony, #OHCHR #UNHRC September 2018 Part 2

In this second video we continue the question of health effects due to radiation and compare 2 stories of internally displaced persons from Japan as a result of the Fukushima nuclear disaster. The first testimony follows a family who waited until 2012 to evacuate whose daughter was found to have a thyroid disorder after they moved and the mother then was also found to have a thyroid disorder. the second testimony comes from a family who left within days of the Tsunami hitting the nuclear reactors at Diachi. Her children suffered nosebleeds as well but whose health was less impacted because of the swift evacuation. The UNHRC supported citizens rights to evaacuate to a safer place but the Japanese Government lobbied by TEPCO played down the risks to health which were known in Japan since the Chenobyl accident.
