Shop Owner Dies in Prison For Opening Business, Prison Officials Attempt a Cover Up |Barbados|

03/04/2021 - Guyanese man living in Barbados for 20 years and a shop owner for 6 was remanded to prison for breaking Covid-19 curfew and opening his business. While in prison he fell gravely ill from diabetes where he subsequently passed away. HMP Dodd's Prison officials then quietly transferred his body to The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (without his family's knowledge, which they discovered to weeks later) in an attempt to hide the fact that he died in prison.
