In this video, I discuss Russia's invasion of the Ukraine in the context of the fraying US dollar system.

Russia, China, and Saudi are increasingly trying to conduct their commodity trade and currency settlement outside of the US dollar, using primarily gold and Euros.

Kicking Russia out of SWIFT might be just another step in weakening US dollar global hegemony.

Meanwhile, Europe remains dependent on Russia for its energy, while the US remains highly dependent on Chinese manufacturing.
