Executives from Image, IDW, BOOM and Aftershock acknowledged feedback from direct market retailers and implemented change to stabilize the industry and ease financial risks in a down comics market. This is great news and just what I wanted to hear after reports of Image Comics “No Risk Number Ones” and “Double Down Discount” Programs. I am however, very disappointing that Marvel, DC and Diamond all declined to speak on the record. The leadership of these three organizations are a primary reason the industry is in its current predicament.

I also give my thoughts about the recent SWATing of Peter Simeti and his overall treatment by the industry. Also, Thinking Critical will be hosting an Alterna Comics live-stream on 16 Feb at 10 am EST to show our support for Peter.
