In this video I make sodium thioantimonate from the antimony trisulfide and sodium sulfide nonahydrate that I made in recent videos as well as a few grams of flowers of sulfur. The prep is very easy, yields very large and beautiful yellow crystals, and doesn't smell nearly as nuch as you might imagine; in other words YELLOW CHEM GOOD! :-) This is a good prep for the beginner amateur chemist. Just make sure to use adequate ventilation or, probably better, do the prep outside if possible. The smell of sulfide has a tendency to stick and takes a while to work its way out of a room (days at least) during which time it will smell like ass.
