Simon Černelč (cherr-nelch) was born in 1979 in Celje (tselye) and grew up in Obsotelje (obsotelye), where he also attended primary school. During his high school years he founded the rock band Malik and continued writing music after its dissolution. He recently premiered his new band (Mochereel). Last year (2022), his poetry collection entitled Prapodobe (Archetypes) was published by the Maribor Cultural Centre, and this year a play entitled Modus operandi. His drama deals with a number of pressing political issues and seeks answers in investigative journalism.
