What does Cummings have over the Government?
And why are several high ranking Government MPs willing to make themselves sound like utter morons, just to defend a man who is clearly lying to the public?
Oh boy.
Michael Gove, Rishi Sunak, Jacob Rees-Mogg. Boris Johnson even - your feelings about these men aside, they're not exactly the thickest men in the World if we're honest.
So why on Earth are they defending the clearly indefensible?
Is it loyalty? To Boris maybe, but I highly doubt they are to Cummings. At least not to the same degree as they are to BoJo anyway.
Loyalty to the Conservative Party maybe?
More likely. Nobody wants to be part of the group that has a giant meltdown, right in the middle of a Global Pandemic, do they?
So much for Country over Party, eh?
No, that doesn't seem like the main reason to me. Something else is going on behind the curtains at Number 10, and I hazard a guess that Mr.Cummings has very intricate knowledge of it.
And he's hanging it over the entire Conservative Party with that annoyingly smug grin of his.
Anyone who has even the slightest idea about Politics knows that MPs are pretty partial to the odd skeleton in the closet. From cocaine-fueled Rent Boy parties, to thieving from the Treasury, even all the way up to Kiddie-Fiddling Pedo Rings, the House of Commons has had it's fair share of scandals.
But most of those "scandals" have been pretty-much swept under the rug by now - forgotten as soon as a new distraction comes along. Even in this day and age, MPs taking drugs and lying to the public, barely raise an eyebrow anymore. And MPs know it. The News Cycle is so rapid now, that a story becomes stale after literally a few hours. Scandals are quickly forgotten about, or they aren't even seen as being newsworthy at all. And to be fair, when you find out an MP once snorted a line of cocaine, it doesn't exactly shake the World, does it?
So what kind of scandal could have the Government so worried? It must be something pretty special if they're willing to make arses out of themselves for Gollum himself, Mr.Cummings. Certainly something bigger than an MP snorting a line off a hooker's arse, anyway.
So, what does Cummings have over the Government?
Watch this space, that's all I'll say. Because something's on the horizon, and like all scandals, they all come out in the end.
So just remember folks - the Government are lying to you.
You know it, and they know it. And do you know what?
They don't care, because they have no respect for you. As George Carlin once said -
"It's a big club - and you ain't in it."
