Gumby's Motorola Radios

Someone asked about Gumby's Motorola radios. Gumby got started in radio with an amateur radio license, as his Dad was a firefighter and he became interested in the one he wore for work. Then Gumby got into FRS/GMRS radio, and bought some of the ones like the blue one shown here. He later became an engineer and worked with Motorola Astro Saber III radios, like the tall one next to him. After the Saber he began using XTS/XTL series radios, like the XTS1500 handheld with an LCD display, but this is a Model I (one) that lacks a keypad. Then, he ended up using Motorola Trbo series radios, like the one on the left, with the LCD display and keypad. Gumby also carries APX4000 and XPR7550e radios made by Motorola for work, but has worked with Motorola equipment for many years now. Being pimped out by DHS recently, he now carries a Harris Unity XG-100P handheld radio, that is not shown here. Motorola makes great radios for many industries, and Gumby has amassed a small collection that represents some of what he has worked on over the years.
