THE ABBEY OF THE LEMUR-The Great Public Access Rip-Off

(2005) A return to the classic TAOTL "letdown" format....I basically recorded a half hour of CAT's late night message board and ran that as a show. I don't believe I was actually beefing with CAT at this point in time...it was more another attempt to A. Keep content on the air, even if it was completely devoid of substance, and B. To stretch the concept of "shows" and "content" to its absolute limit. Looking over this I realized more work went into it than I remember; I recorded the basic track on a VHS tape but had a camera set up by the TV as a "B" shot----and I briefly appear at the end for a quick send-off. What follows that is a preview for "Building a Reptilian Ziggurat", which, on offer, is a much better episode than this one. You should check it out!
A note on the "soundtrack": The audio is from whatever University of Arkansas's student radio station, KXUA, was running at the time. This was the default music playing on the message board in those days. I'm ready to remove it if I have to.
