Watching the Sunset and Eating / River View Guesthouse, Bangkok
This is Part 1, here I arrive, and order. There is a little mishap while ordering, you'll see - This video was shot at the "River View" (Also called "River Vibe") Guesthouse. It really is an 'insider-tip', if you will, in terms of a Sky-bar type of setting, while at the same time being affordable and having a really pleasant atmosphere.
I discovered about it in the "Lonely Planet" Bangkok guide, I'm surprised not more people come here, probably because the other Sky-bars get over-hyped, that really must be it. Also they could make this place for guests only and they don't, that is something to be grateful for!
One last thing that I HAVE to mention, is that the staff at this Restaurant is remarkably pleasant, it is hard to pinpoint but really, they make you feel "at home" so to speak and as I said, are really pleasant in general.
Here's what I ordered:
- Chicken Green Curry with coconut milk, really really good.
- Plain white rice, for mixing.
- Vegetable Spring Rolls, unfortunately, they did not have the Shrimp ones but c'mon that's no big deal.
- Sparkling Water
Sorry for the wind you will hear at some points throughout this video, I don't have a specialized microphone for that... and it does get better, if it hadn't I probably would have uploaded this video!
How to get here?: I believe the best options are either the BTS "Saphan Taksin", there are also buses but it's kinda difficult to understand where they are going and all that. From the BTS you have to walk like 10-15 minutes. Or also you could go with the MRT to "Hua Lamong" and from there, once again, walk about 7-10 minutes. Type "River House Guesthouse" intro G. Maps and it should give you a good breakdown on how to reach, because to be honest, the streets to reach this place are a little bit cryptic and not so well lit.
Cheers! If you liked this video do comment and subscribe for more to come.
