If were a kid of the late 80's to early 90's and you didn't have the game, you probably had seen it in the retail or rental stores. Your parents, if they were aware of it, might have not approved of it for being too violent or too thuggish, it they were the type to care about such things. If not, they might of given it to you for Christmas or your birthday. But, one thing's for sure, you knew this game kicked ass!
*ahem*
Anyways, this song was the theme for the second stage of Streets of Rage for the Sega Genesis. Still an amazing game, and still has a running franchise with Streets of Rage 4, not to mention a remake of this game, sort of. The new stuff might be fun and have some pretty art and all, but the original is still one of the best brawling games out there, even in its raw 16-bit form. If you haven't played it already, go play it already!
I found this MIDI here: https://vgmusic.com/music/console/sega/genesis/
The original composers for the song are Yuzo Koshiro and Motohiro Kawashima
