When I heard about this "Red Mirage" theory (that Trump would have a landslide win but then mail-in ballots would flow in and nuke his landslide from orbit in favor of Biden), it didn't sound like a model-based prediction as it was presented--it sounded like *a plan* being laid out. That got me thinking. I soon realized that it only takes access to two data sets to steal the election with mail-in ballots in play: who has voted and who is registered to vote. Remove the voted set from the registered set, forge mail-in ballots for as many of the remaining registered voters as needed to win, and you've stolen yourself an election.

This is just my idea of how one could steal the election. I'm sure there are details that could make it much more difficult, but it's a lot of fun to think about...and I hope it doesn't become anything more than just a remote possibility cooked up in my mind.
