President Trump and the GOP have lost the House of Representatives to the Democrats. The result of the 2018 midterm election marks the first time that Democrats have controlled the House in eight years. On the surface it would seem that Trump and the Republican party have suffered a massive defeat. However, they have managed to not only hold the Senate, but pick up seats as well.

The GOP may have lost the battle for the House, but they won the fight for the Senate. In doing so they may have just won the war for the very future of our nation.
