I never expected searching for quotes would show how nihilistic, snide, cynical and hateful many writers and readers have become, especially towards Christmas.
Look...I love Halloween and at some point hope to explain the 'why' of that.
I have issues with how greed and consumerism has taken away the meaning behind Christmas, but I don't go about bashing it to those who love it, unless someone gets sh*tty with me about my celebrating Halloween (dude from Bristol Lowe's for example).
I waited 6 years for our family to celebrate the holidays together again.
I waited 6 years for my husband to be able to decorate the porch (no...that did not cause the ER visit on Dec. 11).
It seems that some who whine, bitch and moan these days have little ability to deal with difficult situations/problems in life. I've often wondered what these individuals do when something really bad happens in their world?
As for me and my family, we will celebrate Christmas, Chanukah, New Years, Groundhog's Day, Arbor Day and every day that God gives us together.
just sayin'...
