Simply reading the Bible, praying & believing Jesus died for you isn't enough. Salvation requires faith & works (James 2:24). All need faith & works so their faith is not dead (James 2:17 & 2:20). Jesus said if you love Him, obey the commandments (John 15:14 & John 14:15). The Bible warns grave sins will bar you from heaven (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). The Bible commands good works to ensure salvation (2 Peter 1:10). Jesus said you also have to hear His church for salvation (Matthew 18:17).

Faith in Christ means believing in everything He says. It means doing what He commanded. It means a whole lot more than simply believing He died for you. When people attempt to reduce the Gospel to a sin-all-you-like easy-believism, they are practicing a false religion that came approximately 1,500 years after Christ. To believe is to hold to a set of beliefs: a set of beliefs is a religion. Everything Christ instituted is a religion. That religion, Christianity, is traditional Catholicism.

Our Lord did not found a church over a thousand years after He ascended into heaven - He founded it in 33 AD through the apostle Peter according to the Gospel. St Peter was martyred in Rome, with St Paul: that's why Christ's church was centered there since its inception. There is only one church that traces back directly to Christ. That church is the traditional Catholic Church.
