The Old & New Ark of the Covenant: The Bible Shows Why We Need Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary
~ The Ark was venerated & contained the written word of God (The 10 Commandments).
~ Mary is venerated & contained the Word of God (Jesus Christ). The Ark & Mary are not worshiped: they are honored & venerated. The Ark was venerated by God's people who knelt before it - just like the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Ark of the New Covenant is the Blessed Virgin Mary. God's people need to venerate the Blessed Virgin Mary. The parallels in the Bible have a very clear message from God & there are even more parallels shown below.

Prayers to Mary & the saints are to ask them to pray for us - Catholics don't worship saints. Prayer is asking for divine help - prayers of worship are solely to God alone, which is the Holy Trinity (Father, Son & Holy Ghost). Saintly intercession is in the Bible: saints are as angels (Mark 12:25) who do God's will & even receive prayers (Revelation 8:3).
At the Feast of Cana (John 2) Jesus was about to be finished performing miracles for the day, but then Mary told her Son "they have no wine" — Then Jesus turned water into wine. Humbly asking her Son, He will not refuse His Blessed Mother.
Saintly Intercession is in the Bible

THE BIBLE TEACHES THAT MARY IS THE ARK OF THE NEW COVENANT (Mirrored Prophecies from the Old Testament & the New Testament)
1) The Ark Contained the written word of God (Deut. 10:5)
÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷
The Blessed Virgin Mary Contained the Word of God made flesh, Jesus (Jn. 1:1)
2) The Ark Was “overshadowed” by the power and presence of God (Exodus 40:34-35)
÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷
The Blessed Virgin Mary Was “overshadowed” by the power and presence of the Most High (Luke 1:35)
3) Same language regarding both the Ark & Mary:
2 Samuel 6:9 – “David feared the Lord that day and said, How can the ark of the Lord come to me?"
÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷
Luke 1:43 –"[Elizabeth said]: And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?"
4) Leaping before the Ark & Mary:
2 Samuel 6:16 – “As the ark of the Lord was entering the City of David, Saul´s daughter Michal looked down through the window and saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord…”
÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷
Luke 1:41-44 – "And it came to pass, that, when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost… For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy."
5) The Ark & Mary remain for 3 months;
2 Samuel 6:11 – “The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obededom the Gittite for three months, and the Lord blessed Obededom and his whole house.”
÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷
Luke 1:56-57 – “Mary remained with her about three months and then returned to her home. Now Elizabeth's full time of being delivered was come, and she brought forth a son. “
... That isn't even all of the parallels with Mary & the Ark! There are many more...
More Biblical Proofs for the significance of the Blessed Virgin Mary:
https://vaticancatholic.com/bible-virgin-mary/
The following verses are Biblical proof of why the Mother of God is the Mediatrix of all graces. Firstly are verses proving saintly intercession from the Bible (asking saints to pray for us), as Mary is the greatest of all the saints:
Christ is the mediator between God & man, yet He uses saints & angels (Mark 12:25) to do His will & even receive prayers (Revelation 8:3). If you condemn praying to saints & angels of God then you condemn the Bible when Gedeon beseeched an angel (Judges 6:12-13), asking an angel of God for help. In Osee or Hosea, Jacob asks help from an angel (Hosea 12:3-4).
Prayer is asking for help. Worship is reserved solely for God alone. The Bible teaches that angels not only deliver God's messages, mete out His justice, are sent as an answer to prayers, but they are prayed to as well. This is not because the angels are God, of course; but because angels are powerful and supernatural servants of the Most High who have a close relationship with Him in Heaven.
