Allá por el 2016 el artista suizo Ugo Rondinone instaló en el desierto de Mojave la obra “Seven Magic Mountains”, 7 totems gigantes de colores ácidos, como si fuera un juego de construcción infantil pero de unas dimensiones imposibles, esta obra nos fascina. La buena noticia es que se amplia el tiempo de poder visitarla fines de 2021.
Las Seven Magic Mountains, proyecto coproducido por Art Production Fund y el Museo de Arte de Nevada, están ubicadas en medio del Desierto de Mojave al sur de Las Vegas, concretamente en la carretera interestatal 15, muy cerca del Lago Seco, están inspiradas en las apachetas, los montículos de piedra que los antiguos indígenas procedentes de América del Sur dejaban en los caminos como señal de prosperidad y buena fortuna.
