Wounds have healed and I've sprayed with a topical treatment to protect from further infection with a rug on. The rug will be taken off during the day when it is not raining. The skin still needs protection from being under the rug. I'm worried about her holding onto her weight in the rain during winter.
So used a canvas rug that breathes.
I'm reluctant to use a rug after our horse, Penny, was strangled by her rug in the paddock. That was a combo rug and hoping the standard rug will be less dangerous.
