The AKS-74U (aka Krinkov) vs the XM177E2. Yup, two opposing rifles/carbines/SMGs made to accomplish the same thing, bridge the gap between a sub-machine gun and an infantry rifle. The AKS74U and XM177E2 were fielded at about the same time but they followed two different paths in their respective militaries.
