Recently, I was able to search through an abandoned house for anything that I may like. The inhabitant passed about a decade ago, and most of the house had already been picked through rather well. However, up in a cupboard, there were a number of tin cans with some rather old seeds in them.
Many of these seeds were even 20 years old or more, and one of the cans contained some deadly, poisonous seeds that I had never seen before in real life. Along with the other more common seeds were some packages of jequirity bean (Abrus precatorius). Ingestion of a single seed, well chewed, can be fatal to both adults and children. Soon, I think I'll see if some of the kinds of seeds will germinate, But I'll probably skip those.
