Shermans march to the ocean (Aka, the Savannah campaign) was a series of battles in the late American civil war. Under orders from head of the army Ulysses S Grant, Major general Sherman marched the army of the Tennessee and the army of Georgia south, deep into confederate territory, aiming for the port of Savannah. The objective of the operation was not the capture of the port, but the destruction of infrastructure and psychological damage of the march that would paralyze the confederacy's ability to prosecute the war. The union troops destroyed everything they came across, burning villages, bridges, plantations and anything else that could help the confederate war effort, as well as freeing slaves from the plantation to further destroy confederate moral and swell their own ranks. The port was eventually captured on 21 of December, after successfully disrupting the confederate war effort and destroying many homes.

Video style was inspired by PiscatorLager but since he's stopped uploading and probably will not use bitchute, I'm choosing to use his style.
