President Trump Slams Jim Acosta: You Are A Rude Terrible Person 11/7/18
President Trump OWNS Jim Acosta: You Are A Rude Terrible Person 11/7/18. President Donald Trump had a confrontational exchange with White House reporters Wednesday during a news conference to discuss the results of Tuesday's election. Trump refused to answer a followup question from reporter Jim Acosta, who persisted in his attempt to ask the president about the Russia investigation. Trump spoke loudly over Acosta and demanded he hand over the microphone "That's enough," Trump said repeatedly as Acosta continued to try and ask his question.
Acosta’s question was on the migrant caravan that Trump made a fixture of his midterm election messaging. “It was not an invasion,” Acosta told the president. “Thank you for telling me that,” Trump snarked. “I appreciate it.” “Why did you characterize it as such?” Acosta asked.
“Because I consider it an invas,” Trump replied.
Eventually, the president grew tired of the questioning, telling the White House reporter: “Honestly I think you should let me run the country, you run . And if you did it well, your ratings would be much higher.” “Ok that’s enough,” Trump said, as Acosta tried to ask a follow up. A White House staffer tried to yank the microphone out of Acosta’s hand but the reporter held onto it. “Pardon me ma’am,” Acosta said as she backed down. “That’s enough, put down the mic,” Trump said. “I tell you what, should be ashamed of itself having you working for them. You are a rude, terrible person
When a White House aide attempted to take the mic from him, Acosta yanked it back.
"On the Russia investigation, are you concerned that you may .,, ?" Acosta said before Trump interrupted him, saying, "I'm not concerned about anything with the Russia investigation because it's a hoax."
Trump stepped away from the lectern for a moment before returning to the microphone. "I tell you what, should be ashamed of itself having you working for them," the president said, shaking a finger at Acosta.
Jim Acosta questioned the President about his rhetoric surrounding a migrant caravan that is traveling on foot to the United States. While trying to ask a follow-up question, Trump repeatedly told Acosta he was moving on. At that point, a White House staffer attempted to take the microphone out of Acosta's hands. " should be ashamed of itself having you working for them," Trump said. "You're a very rude person. The way you treat Sarah Huckabee Sanders is horrible. You shouldn't treat people that way." A reporter who asked a question after Acosta defended his character to President Trump. Later in the presser, Trump called the media "hostile," telling reporters they were "rude" for interrupting.
