On the way back home
From the Chinese restaurant
We stopped in to a little corner bar
A few drinks later
I start to slur and there you are
Leaning up against the wall
Those neon signs and the passing cars
You said, 'I don't feel like pictures'
I sat in a blur, in a blur

Be still the Moon and the stars
Let me save this moment
To remember the way you were

Just then
The sky had fallen
Blazing like a thousand suns
Fire, crashes, sirens, smoke
And we had to run
After about half a mile
You slowed down to a stop
I turned around
To savor the view
You asked, 'what is it now?!'

I said, 'The way the light falls, dear
You move me, body and soul
After this is over,
We'll have to take another stroll'

Oh no

And the aliens are here
And their tractor beam draws near
Don't panic so soon
It's a balloon

You got back up and caught your breath
You made your point with out a single word
I stepped back
Took out my camera
Clicked a few shots
