The Book of Isaiah
My favorite verses: Isaiah 55:6-11 (roughly 3:24:00), describes in a summary what Lord God's way is and prophetically describes who Jesus was: The Word of God made flesh. This is why Jesus said to eat of his flesh, it literally means to eat the Word of God - the bread of life. It also alludes to the kind of parables Jesus described during his sermons(such as Matthew 13:18-35).
The Word of God (Jesus) came down from heaven, causing the earth below to bud and flourish. Isaiah 55:6-11 also alludes to how no one has gone up to heaven except he who came down - that the Word of God does not return to Lord God, much like the rain and snow does not return, not without first causing the world below to bud and produce both "seed" (Word of God) for the sower and bread (of life, the fruit of the Word of God) for the eater.
This is the finest example I've ever found in my own studies of a prophet describing Jesus. The Word doesn't pass away. This is how we know Jesus was sent by the most high, the Word which he had spoken which Lord God gave him to speak still persists to this day, and he spoke it because he was the Word of God in the flesh. He and his Father are the same in this respect, in authority - for what Lord God says will come to pass no matter what, it succeeds just as described by Isaiah, because Lord God's is omnipotent.
Jesus accomplished that which Lord God had intended, and the bread of life has caused to succeed what Lord God sent it to do - it succeeds to this very day! All glory and praise to the Most High! Eat the Word of God(flesh) and digest it, understand it. Drink of his blood - keep the commandments necessary to receive the spirit of truth (John 14:15-18) for the life is in the blood, how else can he write the law into our hearts? So we must live as Jesus had by following the first and second greatest commandments, this is God's law and the prophets. The bread of life is one thing, but the blood carries the breath of life; spirit. And by blood we can also find ourselves to be family or not. You can say you are family if you do the will of his Father in heaven. Those who do the will of his Father in heaven become Jesus's mother, sister and brother. This is true salvation.
These commandments are absolutely the antecedent to receive the spirit of truth at all. If you love the Word, keep the commands and you will be kept in his love John 15:10-17. Passive religious belief was not demonstrated or instructed by Jesus. The harvest is indeed plentiful but the workers are few: Even the goats (Matt 25:31-46, a prophetic parable) called him Lord, which indicates that they had faith, but they were surely lacking something very important which Lord God seeks. They are the ones who did not fulfill the 1st greatest commandment, they are Matthew 7:21-23. Jesus came as one who served, not one to be served, and we are to be like him, even washing the feet of his sheep and lambs, feeding and taking care of them.
Store up Jesus's words so that you and others can feed those who would receive the bread of life! (John 10:27) and do not be discouraged by those who deny Jesus. Store the Word up like TREASURE, the Word came from Lord God! The Word leads to life! Do your best not to replace these words with the words of any other self proclaimed instructor, teacher or father(Matt 23:8-10), and do not deny God's law or interpret it to be dead - do not leaven the loaf in any way! Lord God is God of the living not the dead, and his law is loving kindness, works of the law are not means for boasting! Let boasters boast this instead: Jeremiah 9:24. The teachers of the law did not understand this, they didn't even know who their neighbors were! We are instructed by Jesus to exceed their understanding of the law, not to deny the law! Here is the understanding of God's law: Only the good samaritan will be saved. Lord God bless all of you.
