Not an edit. After listening to this song for its six minutes and twenty seconds I got the impression they didn't intend to go to San Francisco at all. I think all four of these studio session musicians had fear of flying or crossing oceans on a boat. This was a big hit in 1967. Their second hit was "A Walk In The SKy", charting nr.6 in Holland, which sounds like a copy of "Let's Go To San Francisco", but than with different lyrics: https://youtu.be/S2p3-YcHSNc?t=17
