Neo continues to struggle his way through the police station, slowly covering every area that he can, wary of anything that might be lurking in the shadows or around the next corner, just out of sight. But thankfully he eventually manages to locate all three medallions for the Goddess statue in the main hall of the RPD, which he uses to open up the passageway hidden underneath it. He follows the path to what appears to be an underground facility, and shortly after entering it he finds a young girl hiding in a room. Neo and Claire attempt to get to her, but the girl tells Claire that she "needs help". Confused by this statement at first, both Neo and Claire quickly discover its meaning as they suddenly find themselves faced by a man whose right arm has mutated into something monstrous, with its most prominent feature being a giant eyeball located on what should be the arm's shoulder - and the eye has set its sights on Claire. The mutated man attacks Claire, and Neo's first boss battle ensues.
After a few tries Neo eventually manages to beat the mutated man, who disappears further into the factory, and Neo meets back up with the young girl. After Claire and the girl, who goes by the name "Sherry Birkin", formally introduces themselves, they and Neo find an elevator that takes them to the basement parking lot of the RPD. They attempt to leave it through the main gate, but find it locked, with a key card needed to open it. But before Neo can decide where he should go after discovering this, he, Claire and Sherry find themselves held at gunpoint by RPD Chief of Police Brian Irons...
